Hello, I really like the sound of this scenario which has inspired me to add some goblins to my Catalucian forces. The new map layout really helps bring the scenario to life. The write up was comprehensive and clear but I would like to ask one question if I may. In the ‘Scenario Special Conditions’ there is a para called “Climbing Hills”, it talks about the hills being 1 level high with the “effort taken to climb them laid out in the game book.” It also talked about making the hill a double to make it twice as hard to scale. Having looked through the War in Catalucia & Bier & Bones books I couldn't find any mention of hills as a terrain feature or their effects on movement. Please could I ask what effects were applied for the playtesting and what the hill level effects? I have also noticed that the description of hills by level also appears in the Scenarios in the Bier and Bones book I have just bought.

Thanks for your comment and kind words Pete. Glad you are enjoying the game.
Typical hills count as rough going in the movement section of the book with cliffs, extreme steep and so on being 'impassible'. In scenarios where there are hills no mention is typically made but if its a several layer hill then sometimes a special rule is put in for that. It relates to the map in the scenario. In playing hills count as rough terrain imposing that penalty to movement to each level of hill. With the special rule in place that penalty is doubled.
Gavin.
