Hi everyone, Andy here.....what’s everyone’s favourite USEME title? Do you play solo or with a group? I have a couple of the USEME titles but haven’t gamed with them much. I mainly do solo with these sets as it’s usually just me, my other gaming friends haven’t really seen the subtle beauty of these rules. Well, lets get this forum rolling!

Thanks for your posting Andy.
If I were to post my vote I would say I have a soft spot for UM001 15mm Science Fiction. It was the first one and it is the most popular too. I can add that from feedback it seems split about 75% two or more players to 25% solo play.

Between print and electronic editions, I have all the titles (except UM012 - USEME Alien Safari which seems never to have been published? Referenced in intro of UM010 -- Support Pack.)
By far, my favorites for writing color are UM007 -- Post Apocalypse, UM008 -- Wild West, and UM013 -- Eldritch Horrors. I play UM009 -- Zombie Dawn the most, because I think the solo rules are superior; although there's no special reason why the Zombie shuffle rules couldn't be used for LIANNA forces in Cyberpunk... When not playing Zombie Dawn, I liberally pull from multiple sets to do things like Weird West (UM001+UM008) and Eldritch Vietnam (UM004+UM013.) Now I think of it, though, Eldritch Zombie Dawn (UM009+UM013) has a lot of potential!
I'd really like to see UM0?? -- Spanish American War (or Boer War; same period) and UM0?? -- Steampunk. I could probably write Steampunk, but my history-fu is weak and it would make for a sub-par product.
Except for new sci-fi model releases, USEME has suffered in the Attention currency for a few years.

Thanks for your comment. Alien Safari is nearly done but as you say Attention Currency..I am but a man..other things happen. The original draft worked ok, but not well enough. Artwork is done and some miniatures too. The solo rules in Zombie Dawn are the main point of the rules and indeed are very functional. We have several manuscripts in the works just now from three authors in the areas of modern war, prohibition, fantasy, scifi, 6mm.

Starting out, I was very frustrated with the existing solo rules, except for Zombie shuffle. It wasn't until I started creating scenarios with clearly defined objectives that I started to enjoy them. I still find them very simplistic. I'm really looking forward to an upgrade or elaboration, if that's in the que (USEME Solo? USEME Alone? USEME By Yourself? USEME By Mail [just kidding, or am I?])

You shall find them simplistic sir. It is the Ultra Simple rules set. More details nearer the time. No set order of releases has been chosen so I will not list them in any way but Alien Safari shall be among them. None will be dedicated solo play.
