I don't think that I understand the 1 column shift for fire when a unit is doing a Quick March. In the example in the rulebook it doesn't seem to come into effect. Does anyone have a good example of it being used?

I have used it many times in play mainly with Ferach Elves. The shift is due to the quickness of movement making shooting more difficult and aiming impossible.

I understand the concept. The rules just seem to not be syncing with me.
The example on page 76 of the Catalunia book has a unit firing after a quick march. The unit doesn't have its fire shifted to the right but gets a -20% penalty for doing a Quick March.
So when does that shift apply?
In the example the base hit chance is 50% (its says 55 but I assume that is a typo) but that value doesn't receive the shift to the right to bring it to 20/2

Thanks Zac. The same question came up on the Facebook group last week. The example is wrong. The shift applies before any mods are made as the mods are made upon the new column when shifted to the right meaning that firing while running at a long range becomes impossible. Go with the rules themselves it will click.

Thanks Zac. The same question came up on the Facebook group last week. The example is wrong. Any chance you will update the book for the new print run then? Or perhaps just update the PDF?

In the current climate there is no chance sorry. The continued lockdown has made it hard to operate at all beyond essential needed tasks. I am happy to answer questions as they come.
