Hi, have played a few games and was wondering if other players also think goblin bows are more deadly than some of the tougher monsters? They are three of them and they shoot as one so six dice , no evade that's more shots than any other monster. Skeletons are the same. How do you survive? I have started to always use a bow armed hunter and yes I didn't in my first few games and my hunters almost always died.

Interesting notion. This comment has come up before. Monster Hunter is a very wide scope game with many possible sets of opponents appearing on the table. During testing the lesser creatures were treated as too weak as was the bow. I have played many times and certainly big groups of creatures are more deadly than one big monster. I will have a look at the book on bows. GBS

Maybe it isn't such a big problem as it seems (I could be using evade and parry wrong)and when hunters get more points to spend on movement then bows are less efficient. It seemed to be less of a problem when you can shoot first and we all know that one dice can get enough rerolls to kill a hunter. But it is a solo game and no one likes losing,at least not all the time.

That could indeed be what is troubling you. More powerful Hunters do better. Check the evade and parry rules to see if you are using them correctly. I am glad you are enjoying the game.
